Frances Blane, who owns and operates the practice, has a long legacy of happily rehabilitating people’s smiles to her high personal and professional standards.

A large portion of her practice is from satisfied customers referring their friends and family members because of her highly pleasing gorgeous smiles, great fit, A+ customer service and her ‘going the extra mile’ attitude.
Originally starting in the Parker Arcade in the Penrith CBD in 1980, Frances established her own Direct Denture Laboratory dealing only with the public, thus the trademark “Direct Denture” is of her own creation.
In 2003 she saw a perfect new spot in Blaxland for a new beginning. It is the white and green 1928 iconic building at 172 Great Western Hwy, Blaxland. She called it the “Blaxland Cottage Denture Clinic”. This is where many of her former patients and the people of the Blue Mountains have been finding her for the last 18 years.

Frances has recently completed an Advance Diploma in Dental Prosthetics to keep up with the changing times and to ensure that her patients receive the best care and the benefits of modern denture making technologies including advanced techniques in clinical prosthetic examinations, taking of impressions, denture try-in and insertion, and the issuing and maintenance of removable dental prosthesis.
