Mr Eddie Butler is a male Dental Hygienist and Dental Therapist.
Born and raised in Malvern East, Edward’s passion for supporting the health of his local community manifested in the establishment of Victorian Dental Group. Graduating from the University of Melbourne in 2008 with a Bachelor of Oral Health Degree and subsequently obtaining his Advanced Scope of Clinical Practice, Edward has worked across the private, public and the dental education sector for over 12 years.
As a Dental Board Registered Oral Health Therapist, Edward carries a strong knowledge, interest and experience in preventative dentistry with interest in Dental Examinations, Dental Hygiene, Paediatric Dentistry, Gum Care and Periodontics and restorative dentistry, with interests in Teeth Whitening, Fillings & Tooth Restoration, and Fissure Sealants.
Edward believes in a modern approach to dentistry that is evidence-based, client-centred, and accessible. His genuine passion and motivation for dentistry provides an inspirational and supportive environment at Victorian Dental Group, which forms the core ethos and values of the clinic.
In additional to his clinical work, Edward is a University of Melbourne Dental School Clinical Mentor to post-graduate Dental students who are advancing their practice, and a Lecturer & Clinical Demonstrator for the Charles Sturt University Dental School.
