Dr Sunil KL Hettige is a male Specialist Orthodontist.
Dr Sunil Hettige received his Bachelor of Dental Surgery degree at the University of Otago (Dunedin, New Zealand) in 1982. He subsequently practised as a general dentist in private, public and military practice in New Zealand and Australia for 12 years. He also served as a volunteer dentist in overseas relief services for refugees for more than a year.
In 1996, Dr Hettige completed his specialist training in Orthodontics at the University of Adelaide, South Australia, receiving a Masters of Dental Science (Orthodontics) degree. Dr Hettige has been a registered specialist Orthodontist since that time in private practice in Buderim, Gympie and Kingaroy, Queensland. During this time, he presented cases treated to receive accreditation by the Australian Orthodontic Board.
Dr Hettige is a member of the Australian Society of Orthodontists, the American Association of Orthodontists and the European Society of Orthodontists. He is a regular attendee at the international conferences of these societies and a regular participant in the Queensland Orthodontic Study Group meetings.
