Smitha joined Jones & Karolewski in 2013, having worked in private practice for 10 years in Canberra, Adelaide and Sydney. She completed a Masters of Science in Conservative Dentistry at the Eastman Dental Institute (University College London) where she received additional training in crown and bridge and implant dentistry. She also has significant experience with treating sleep apnea. Smitha is also involved in research and teaching, and is currently a clinical tutor for final year students at The University of Sydney. She is a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Dental Surgeons and serves on the NSW Regional Committee of the College.
