BDS (Baghdad), General Dentist
Dr Salwa Shehada is a female General Dentist who speaks Arabic (as well as English).
Dr Salwa Shehada has been practising as a dentist for 40 years, she is the previous practice owner and Dr Jo’s family dentist for over 35 years!
She graduated from Baghdad University in Iraq in 1975 with a Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS). She arrived in Australia in 1979 and sat the overseas dentist’s exams. She was the first to pass this exam and holds certificate number 001.
Dr Salwa is and has been a member of the ADA for 38 years, she loves general dentistry and enjoys cosmetic dentistry. Her priority is to give her patients the best treatment available, from scaling and polishing to more complex procedures such as root canals, dentures and cosmetic treatments. Apart from her love of dentistry, Dr Salwa enjoys reading and travelling! She speaks fluent English, and Arabic.
Dr Salwa also volunteers to help refugees through the ADA.
