Dr Rebecca K Ellis is a female Specialist Periodontist.
Dr Rebecca Ellis graduated top of her class with BDS (Distinction) from the University of Otago, New Zealand 2011.
In 2015 Rebecca moved to Melbourne, Australia to complete a three-year doctoral degree in Periodontology at the University of Melbourne. During her training she was awarded an ITI research grant for preclinical research in implant dentistry. Her research interests include preclinical and clinical research in immediate implant placement and guided bone regeneration, lending to publications in high-ranking peer review journals.
Rebecca is a fellow of the ITI (International Team for Implantology), and current Australasian Section Chair.
Rebecca enjoys teaching and presenting both locally and internationally. Since 2018 she has been a young KOL for Geistlich Asia-Pacific. She also presents for Straumann and EMS.
Rebecca holds the position of Adjunct Senior Lecturer at Charles Sturt University, NSW.
Following her specialist graduation Rebecca worked as a specialist Periodontist in full-time private practice in New Zealand before relocating to Sydney in 2022.
Rebecca is the co-director of Sydney Periodontics & Implant Centre.
Her main passion is in rehabilitating periodontal health and helping her patients preserve their natural dentition. When tooth replacement is necessary dental implants can be a fantastic tool which she enjoys incorporating into her patient’s treatment plans. One of her main areas of interest is implant replacement in the anterior zone where high aesthetic demand is of paramount importance, often involving additional procedures such a bone grafting and gum grafting; ultimately restoring her patients smiles.
