Dr Nick Peters is a highly-skilled dentist ready to serve you with outstanding dental care at Mary River Dental.
Dr Nick Peters has been an integral member of Mary River Dental since 2014. He grew up in New Zealand and earned a Bachelor of Medical Laboratory Science and a Bachelor of Dental Surgery with distinction from the University of Otago, the only dental school in New Zealand. After spending three years in a private dental practice in Invercargill, he decided that the cold climate was not for him. Dr Nick first visited Mary River Dental in 2014 before moving from New Zealand and choosing the Fraser Coast as his ideal Australian region to immigrate to.
Dr Nick has since become the practice principal of Mary River Dental, and it is under his guidance that the practice has evolved to become a trusted dental practice within the local community.
For those of you who haven’t had the pleasure of meeting our principal dentist, Dr Nick is gentle and knowledgeable. Dr Nick takes great pleasure in getting to know his patients and their dental issues before suggesting treatment options. He understands that there is rarely only one solution to an issue; his treatment philosophy is to present his patients with all of the available options and allow them to make an informed decision.
Although he has been busy, Dr Nick has found the time to study for a postgraduate diploma in dental implant surgery. Starting the diploma in early 2022, Dr Nick expects to complete the diploma in mid-2023. Dr Nick has found the content to be very interesting, and he has appreciated learning all of the latest techniques and advancements in the dental implant field. He keeps up to date with the latest developments in dentistry and has even published his research in an international dental journal.
