Dr Monica G Farrelly is a female General Dentist.
Monica was born in Sydney where her interest in dentistry materialised at a young age from the positive impact of her family dentist. Monica always loved visiting the dentist and was fortunate to complete work experience in both Sydney private dental clinics and at The Westmead Children’s Hospital.
Enthusiastic to pursue this interest, Monica decided to relocate to Queensland where she found her true passion in the art and science of Dentistry and has not looked back since.
Monica completed her Bachelor of Dental Science at The University of Queensland (Honours) and was recognised for her exemplar leadership and communication skills, being awarded the UQ Future Leaders Award. Monica has experience in regional areas, having worked in the Fraser Coast and Darling Downs regions in both public and private facilities, where she developed her competence in root canals and extractions.
The clinical and interpersonal skills she developed has equipped her well for the diversity of dental treatment she provides. As a clinician, Monica enjoys all aspects of dentistry and has a particular interest in paediatric, preventative dentistry and extractions, focusing on patient-centred care for the provision of personalised dental treatment.
She has been commended for her gentle, meticulous approach and her ability to place even dentally anxious patients at ease in the chair. Monica is an active member of the Australian Dental Association (ADA) and the ADA Queensland RG&S committee. She enjoys attending continuing professional and development courses to provide her patients with more treatment options and optimal care. Monica believes an outfit is never complete without a smile and would love to chat through your dental desires and concerns. She recently had her braces removed and is enthusiastic to provide all her patients with a similar beautiful, functional and healthy smile!
