Dr Lavonne Kong is a female General Dentist who speaks Cantonese, Malay and Mandarin (as well as English).
Dr Lavonne Kong started her path to becoming one of the most experienced dentists in Melbourne when she graduated from the University of Melbourne School of Dentistry. Following graduation, she had been working in both private and public dental sectors in Regional and Metropolitan of Victoria. Dr Lavonne is committed to providing the highest quality of dental care to her patients. She is also committed to regular continuing education to keep herself updated with the latest techniques and materials. She attended many post-graduation dental courses such as, comprehensive Orthodontics by Progressive Orthodontics USA, Dental Implantology by Dental Implantology Academy (DIA), Temporomandibular Disorders by Chairman of Orofacial Pain Centre of University of Kentucky amongst others. She is also an active member of Australian Dental Association (ADA).
Dr Lavonne has a calm, gentle and compassionate manner. Her philosophy for treating everyone is to treat them as if she was in their shoes. She would want to feel cared for, has her concerns tended to and have the type of treatment that she would be proud to have in her mouth. She believes the most important aspect in successfully treating dental concerns is to create open lines of communication between her patients and herself. Open communication allows her to achieve optimal results when either creating or enhancing your perfect smile by taking into considerations of all your concerns, be it fear and anxiety, costs or complexity of the procedures. She believes in taking things at your pace and respects your wishes. You won’t be pressured or upsold into services you don’t want or need. When she is away from the Doncaster Hill Dental, Dr Lavonne enjoys traveling, reading, exploring some fine cuisines from all over the world, and spending time with her family. Dr Lavonne also enjoys learning different languages to understand different cultures, other than English she speaks fluent Mandarin, Cantonese and Malay.
