Dr Mahnaz Syed is a female Specialist Periodontist who speaks French, Greek, Spanish and Urdu (as well as English).
Educated at the prestigious Guys Hospital in London and having received specialist training at the Royal London has meant that Dr Mahnaz Syed has an excellent foundation in Specialist Periodontics.
Dr Mahnaz Syed is regular on talk back radio station 6PR and gives expert opinions on oral health care. Mahnaz was invited to give an international workshop in October 2011 on bone grafting, implants and periodontal surgery in Phukett, Thailand by European company Mectron. Dr Syed has also been invited to talk in Bangkok in June 2012 to over 170 dentists about bone grafting and its uses with dental implants.
On arrival in Perth, Dr Syed worked briefly as a general dental practioner accepting in-house periodontal and implant referrals in a busy CBD practice. Mahnaz set up the journal review club within the practice. During this time, she was involved in teaching undergraduate and postgraduate students in the Oral Health Centre of Western Australia located within the University of Western Australia. Dr Syed has worked exclusively as a specialist Periodontist since 2008 in West Perth and Booragoon.
