BDSc (Hons), General Dentist
Dr Maeghan L Dickenson is a female General Dentist.
Maeghan grew up on the South Coast of NSW and after finishing high school, joined the Royal Australian Navy as an Officer for two years before deciding to pursue a career in Dentistry.
She became a Queenslander in 2009 and after many years of study, Maeghan Graduated from the University of Queensland with First Class Honours. She was also awarded the Professor RR Stevens Restorative Dentistry award, The Australian Society of Periodontology prize and the Vardiman Dental Study prize for highest mark of her year.
Being interested in all aspects of Dentistry means keeping up to date with the latest techniques and advancements to provide her patients outstanding care and to ensure that her patients are comfortable and enjoy their visits.
Maeghan is a current member of the Australian Dental Association, International team for Implantology (ITI) and the Australasian Academy of Dento-Facial Aesthetics (AADFA). She enjoys attending many dental courses and workshops to stay abreast of the latest advances in patient care and has a special interest in Ceramic restorative dentistry, Dental Implantology for missing teeth and Facial aesthetics combined with Cosmetic Dentistry e.g veneers, muscle relaxants and lip enhancement. Instead of cosmetic treatment being disjointed and leading to compromised results, muscle relaxants and lip fillers can ensure that lines are softened, lips are enhanced and skin health is optimized to compliment the aesthetic dentistry done in the mouth.
Maeghan joined Avenue Dental Caloundra in 2016 and is well known for her gentle and conservative approach to put even the most apprehensive patients at ease and has even had some patients snooze mid treatment. She was first introduced to the Avenue Way during the 2016 Avenue Dental Mini Residency and was selected to be a part of the Caloundra family. Maeghan enjoys helping people gain the confidence to smile again and loves to change their perspective of dentistry, particularly those who have had poor experiences in the past.
