BDSc (CSU), General Dentist
Dr Kevin OMH Wijaya is a male General Dentist who speaks Hokkien and Indonesian (as well as English).
Dr Kevin prides himself not only on his workmanship but on his clear communication and patient care. Our patients recognise that he first guides them on a journey of discovery and co-diagnosis to identify their desired oral outcomes. Our patients know he takes the time to then clearly explain and deconstruct all treatment options, balancing benefits, risks and costs. Our patients then feel empowered as an active partner to informed decisions as to what suits their oral health for the long term.
Our patients feel at ease in Dr Kevin’s care, describing his chair-side manner as gentle, assuring, and understanding. Dr. Kevin’s approach has aided apprehensive patients to overcome their treatment anxieties including those with needle phobia, gag reflexes, and traumatic dental pasts. “Personalised care, patience, and empathy form my foundation for building lasting rapport, as for many, dental visits are unnerving experiences. – Dr Kevin
Dr Kevin has broad dental experience, from CBD and suburban private practice to public sector dentistry in metropolitan, rural and remote settings such as the Brewarrina NSW Remote Dental Project. Dr. Kevin has also gone outback with the Royal Flying Doctors Service of Australia to fly in dental care to remote NSW communities during their TOOTH (The Outback Oral Treatment and Health) initiative.
Dr Kevin has treated patients from all backgrounds; children, elderly with dementia, physically/mentally disadvantaged, indigenous, rehabilitation, housing commission, incarcerated, foreign and non-English speaking persons.
Dr Kevin grew up as a Sydney local attending Knox Grammar School, he then graduated from Charles Sturt University, NSW. Dr Kevin believes in evidence-based treatment and is forever furthering his knowledge and skillset through professional development courses, seminars and events.
