Dr Jim McGown is a male Specialist Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon.
Jim graduated in Dentistry from the Adelaide University in 1992 and then headed to private practice in country Victoria for a year. He then returned to his hometown of Hobart for two years, working as an Oral Surgery Registrar and in private practice.
Jim returned to Adelaide to tutor dental students and work in a public clinic. He then moved to the UK in 1997, working as Senior House Officer in Oral Surgery in Salisbury and Southampton. Jim began accredited Oral Surgery in New South Wales in 1998, before moving to Brisbane to complete a Medical Degree at the University of Queensland. After completing his internship in Townsville, Jim returned to Sydney to obtain his Fellowship from the Royal Australasian College of Dental Surgeons in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery in 2006.
