Dr Francis NT Monsour is a male Specialist Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon.

Professor Monsour has gained high acclaim within his Surgical discipline both nationally and internationally having led the Specialty of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery through Principal Medical Specialty recognition within Australia and New Zealand for many years.

Professor Monsour has gained high acclaim within his surgical discipline both nationally and internationally having led the Specialty of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery through Principal Medical Specialty recognition within Australia and New Zealand for many years. He was responsible for developing the Queensland Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Training Program and Hospital Units into internationally recognized training facilities. Additionally, he held appointments as Visiting Professor Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery at the University of Nebraska during the 1970’s for a period of three years.

Regarding property development and investments, Professor Monsour has owned and enhanced many sites across Queensland especially those with heritage listing and environmental preservation. He believes in preserving a site’s historical integrity combined with developing community enhancement in conjunction with local planning. These sites include ones in Spring Hill, Woollongabba, Mt Glorious, Windsor, and Mt Tambourine, as well as property in the USA.

He was responsible for developing the Queensland Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Training Program and Hospital Units into internationally recognised training facilities.

Additionally, he held appointments as Visiting Professor Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at the University of Nebraska during the 1970's for a period of three years. He is currently recognised as ‘Clinical Professor’, Department of Surgery (University of Queensland). Professor Monsour has been bestowed recognition and honors during his career. For his University and wider community work and Cancer research he was awarded the Honorary title of Admiral of The Great Navy of the State of Nebraska by the Governor in 1976.

For his leadership in Public Health in Queensland and Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery, his name and achievements were selected for inclusion in the buried Time Capsule at the new Royal Brisbane/Women’s Hospital site in Brisbane.

Professor Monsour is registered as an Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeon (AHPRA) and was awarded Honorary Life Membership – Australian & New Zealand Association of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeons (ANZAOMS).
