Dr Dinusha Thalagala is a female Specialist Periodontist.
Originally from Sydney, I graduated with first-class honours from Griffith University in Queensland in 2014, and won the Australian Dental Research Foundation (ADRF) Leonard Hansen Prize for academic excellence for my undergraduate research thesis.
I practised general dentistry for four years, including twelve months as an oral surgery registrar at Sydney Dental Hospital, gaining valuable surgical skills and multi-disciplinary treatment planning experience. I returned to Queensland in 2019 to pursue specialist training in periodontics at the University of Queensland and won the Australian Osseointegration Society, QLD Branch Research Medallion Competition for my postgraduate thesis in 2021.
I am a member of the Australian Dental Association (ADA), the Australian and New Zealand Academy of Periodontists (ANZAP) and the International Team for Implantology (ITI).
