Dr David W Bladen is a male General Dentist.
Dr David Bladen graduated from Melbourne University with two degrees - the first in Science (Zoology Honours) and the second in Dental Science.
After working in numerous practices, David purchased the surgery in Williamstown, where he very quickly became part of the local community. For twenty-five years, David has looked after the dental needs of patients of all ages and all walks of life. He firmly believes that what patients truly want is a close personal relationship with their dentist, in a small practice where the patient feels that their concerns will be heard and they will be treated with empathy and respect.
David’s patients have always been able to contact him at any time, and are consistently looked after in a caring, personal and professional way. He has been a member of the Australian Dental Association (ADA) for his entire professional life. He believes the guidelines set by the ADA are vital in order to provide the best outcomes and care for patients, and are always in the patient’s best interests. In his 30 year career, David has always had a very strong preventative ethic and works carefully with all patients to ensure that they understand how best to protect their own teeth at home. He has also focussed on advanced restorative dentistry.
In 2015, in conjunction with the Balibo House Trust, David established a dental surgery in the hills of East Timor in the village of Balibo. He is very proud that since then, thousands of local patients have, for the first time, been able to access dental treatment provided by he and other volunteer dentists visiting the surgery. The people of Balibo have no other access to dental treatment; and for them, pain management is the most urgent need. The surgery that David and the Trust established in Balibo is literally a life-changing event for the people of this remote region.
