Dr David Armstrong

Dr David Armstrong is a male Specialist Orthodontist.

I was born in Whiston, which is just outside Liverpool in England, which technically means I am not a "scouser" - for those who come from England or have lived there and are trying to pick my accent. After undertaking my schooling in the Liverpool area I attended the University of Newcastle-upon-Tyne and completed my dental degree in 1992. I spent a year working in a dental practice in Stockton-on-Tees before leaving for Australia. My next four years were spent working in Albury, Wagga Wagga and Geraldton in Western Australia. I enjoyed those four years very much and especially enjoyed country life, which was very new to me, having lived in busy cities in England all my life. The sporting facilities in the country are wonderful and I was able to continue to play soccer, which has been a passion of mine since childhood. I not only enjoy playing sport, but also love watching and “talking” sport – don’t get me started or you’ll never get home. I am a dedicated Everton supporter, which was the first soccer team established in Liverpool. I spent 1998 in England to complete my Fellowship with the Royal College of Surgeons of England and returned to Wagga Wagga before studying and completing my Masters in Orthodontics at the University of Sydney in 2002.

I commenced work as a Specialist Orthodontist in January 2003 and whilst working in private practice I completed a PhD in the Orthodontic Department at the University of Sydney (2007). I decided to move to Coffs Harbour in December 2009 and began the process of opening my own Practice, which opened at the end of May 2010.

I am the only Specialist Orthodontist who lives in Coffs Harbour and I provide quality, modern orthodontics in a relaxed friendly environment.
