Dr Chris Barker is a male Specialist Periodontist.
Dr Barker graduated dental school with Honours at the University of Adelaide in 2004.
He worked in government and private practice for a number of years before completing a Doctorate in Clinical Dentistry, specialising in Periodontology at Griffith University in 2014. Chris was awarded a grant from the Australian Periodontology Research Foundation for his doctoral research which was an investigation of bone and modifying factors of bone resorption and bone production.
He is an admitted fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Dental Surgeons and has completed the Long Surgical Course Certification from Implant Team International (ITI).
Chris has been a clinical instructor at Griffith University. Chris is presently secretary of the Australian Society of Periodontology, Queensland branch He is a member of the Australian and New Zealand Academy of Periodontists, International Team for Implantology, the Australian Osseointegration Society and the Australian Dental Association.
