Dr Brian D McMillan is a male Specialist Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon.
Dr Brian McMillan is an Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeon who was born in the United Kingdom and grew up on the Mornington Peninsula in Victoria, Australia. He graduated in dentistry from the University of Melbourne and Medicine from The University of Adelaide. He undertook his specialist training in Adelaide, completing a Masters degree from the University of Adelaide. The subject of his thesis was investigating a type of surgery to lengthen the lower jaw and involved clinical work and an animal model. He passed the fellowship examination with the Royal Australasian College of Dental Surgeons in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery in 2001.
Dr McMillan works in private specialist practice in Mornington and also has an appointment with Southern Health and acts as a consultant to The Royal Australian Navy. He formerly worked as a Consultant at the Royal Melbourne Hospital and Peninsula Health for several years. He enjoys teaching and has carried out volunteer work in PNG, helping to train a local registrar and remains currently actively involved in training junior doctors.
