Dr Tony Mendoza is a male General Dentist who speaks Japanese (as well as English).
Tony is a born and bred Gold Coaster and attended Aquinas College on the Gold Coast before graduating top of his class with First Class Honours from the University of Qld Dental School in 1990. On graduation Tony spent a year travelling through rural and remote Queensland as part of the Qld Government School Dental Service where he exclusively treated school children. He then joined Qld Health on the Gold Coast where he worked for many years in the public health sector, providing dental treatment for the broader community including medically compromised patients.
Tony has also worked in Indigenous Health Services and for 10 years taught Crown & Bridge at Griffith University Dental School on the Gold Coast.
Tony joined the Dental on Falconer Team in 2003.
Tony is very experienced in all areas of general dental practice but has a particular interest in Implant Dentistry. Since 2012, Tony spends time each month working in a specialist implant practice on the Gold Coast where he restores complex and challenging implant cases as well as carrying out other complex restorative procedures.
Tony is a published author in a number of well respected International Journals. He has published papers in a variety of areas including periodontology, dental radiography and denture construction.
Tony is fluent in Japanese, and is very familiar with Japan and its culture having lived there and visited on numerous occasions over the years. He has a large Japanese patient base as a result.
