Dr Ann Duong is a female General Dentist.
Ann has been part of the Preventive Dentistry team since 2004. She was raised in Sydney, and studied Dentistry at the University of Sydney, graduating in 1997 with Honours.
In 1998, Ann moved to Canberra to pursue her career in dentistry and worked at various private practices before joining Preventive Dentistry. She has also worked in a part time capacity at ACT Dental Health and given her time as a volunteer with NSW Health.
After working for a few years as a dentist, Ann wanted to challenge herself and do something a little different. In 2003, she commenced part-time study at the Australian National University focusing on the areas of archaeology, biological anthropology, psychology and linguistics. In 2009, Ann graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree and a Graduate Diploma in Biological Anthropology.
Ann prides herself on her artistry, perfectionism and eye for detail. She practices all aspects of dentistry and particularly enjoys cosmetic work such as veneers, crowns and smile enhancements.
Ann keeps up to date with the latest advances in dentistry by attending numerous continuing education courses both in Canberra and interstate. She is a member of the ACT Dental Group and is actively involved with the Australian Dental Association, serving as a committee member on the ACT Division since 1998, and holding the position of Honorary Secretary between 1999 and 2002. In 2005, Ann was admitted as a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Dental Surgeons.
