Dr Amy R Gamage is a female General Dentist.
Amy worked through her university studies, completing a Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Sciences degree and an Honours degree in Obstetrics and Gynaecology at the University of Auckland (NZ), and graduating with a Doctor of Dental Surgery Degree from the University of Melbourne (AU), before joining Avenue Dental in 2021.
During her time at University she gained experience with both public and private clinic settings around VIC including at the Royal Dental Hospital of Melbourne, and advocated strongly for her fellow colleagues as an Academic representative, voted by her fellow colleagues for 4yrs in a row. Her pride and joy comes from really listening and tailoring the patients’ experiences so that you get the best treatment possible for you. Oral health can transcend and affect your general health and wellbeing, and Amy will work with you to achieve your dental health goals.
Amy finds all areas of general dentistry enjoyable, and has a detailed-oriented drive, understanding that no two patients can receive the exact same treatment. Maintaining the longevity of your dental health is her main goal by helping you look after and support what you already have. Continuing education and study to obtain new knowledge is something she endeavours to keep up throughout her career. She particularly enjoys the communication aspect of dentistry and really getting to know you. She has a background in performance and public speaking and believes her cultural experiences will aid in better in empathising and understanding her patients.
