Dr Amelia V Fernandes is a female General Dentist who speaks Portuguese (as well as English).
Dr Amelia Fernandes completed a Bachelor of Science with Honours in Chemistry at the University of Sydney. She continued on to pursue her dream of becoming a dentist and graduated from the Bachelor of Dentistry program from the University of Sydney in 2012. During her studies she received awards including the Campbell Harry Graham Prize for Proficiency in Clinical Removable Prosthodontics in 4th year of the Bachelor of dentistry program, G. S. Caird Scholarship for Proficiency in Prosthetic Dentistry, Dr. John H. Wilson Prize for Proficiency in Prosthetic Dentistry in the Third Year of the Bachelor of Dentistry Program and the Dr. Antonia Scott Prize for Proficiency in Oral Diagnosis and Radiology in the Second Year of the Bachelor of Dentistry Program.
Since graduating, Dr Fernandes has enjoyed a balance of working in private practice in Sydney and being a clinical educator in Radiology for the Doctor of Dental Medicine students at the University of Sydney.
Providing patients with a personal, caring and professional dental experience is what Dr Fernandes strives for. Her passion for dentistry inspires her commitment to continued education, to stay abreast of the latest dental methods and technologies. With a strong belief in prevention, Dr Fernandes aims to work with her patients towards optimal oral health, providing comfortable and conservative treatment.
