Dr Alexander J Ritchie is a male General Dentist.
Leading the practice is Dr Alex Ritchie. He is a dual qualified dentist and physiotherapist with over 18 years’ experience treating patients. He completed his degrees at the University of Queensland and Griffith University earning multiple awards for academic excellence.
Alex is passionate about all facets of dentistry, particularly treatments that restore patient confidence, aesthetics, function and oral health. His focus is on ensuring a positive experience for every patient, and he achieves this through providing individualised dental treatment tailored to the needs of his patients.
In addition to cosmetic and general family dentistry Alex has a special interest in replacing missing teeth with life like dental implants. Additionally the treatment of jaw joint pain, also known as temporo-mandibular joint (TMJ) disorder or TMD , is also an area of expertise within Alex’s skill set. Having the experience and knowledge to to treat this complex condition with both Dental and Physiotherapy modalities enables its effective management.
Alex was born and bred in Brisbane, and has called Manly home for the past 5 years. Alex formed a professional relationship with former owner Lloyd Simmonds whilst receiving and providing dental care to Lloyd over the past few years. Alex is committed to continuing the quality care and treatment provided by Lloyd to his patients over the past decades.
Alex is a proud father to four children, he thoroughly enjoys being part of the local Manly community and is excited about the further opportunities being a local dentist will provide to service the community.
A compulsive learner, Alex values continued professional development and is a member of the one of the longest established Brisbane based dental study group, The Vardiman Group. He also regularly attends courses on the most up to date procedures and treatments to ensure the most comprehensive treatment options are available to his patients.
