Dr Burn graduated from the WA University in 1974.
Following graduation, he went straight into his own private practice in the wheatbelt town of Moora, where he stayed until 1979. After leaving Moora, he opened his current practice in Nedlands where he remains today.
Dr Burn is married to a lawyer, Michelle, and they have three children. He lives in Nedlands and has actively engaged in local activities. He served as a local government Nedlands councillor from 1990 to 1993. He has been a member of Associates Rugby Union Football Club since 1978 and is still actively playing rugby. Apart from rugby, he is a member of the Nedlands Golf Club and the Nedlands-based Perth Flying Squadron Yacht Club where he is in the process of building and fitting out a 34ft power boat, doing all the construction himself. He also enjoys windsurfing and scuba diving.
Dr Burn is also an officer in the Army Reserve.
Dr Bill Burn’s practice, also known as Nedlands Dental Centre, is a modern general dental practice, where Dr Burns takes a special interest in Oral Surgery. He is accredited to operate at the Mount, Bethesda and St John of God Subiaco hospitals. Dr Burn also carries out all other dental procedures including cosmetic dentistry, crown and bridge work, pain control, preventative dentistry, endodontics and restorative work.
